We have some new designs for Valentine's Day! We are able to offer a quick turn-around on this holiday so order now for photos and classroom parties.

We lost our twins at 12 weeks and as a result, we are a bit behind with the Spring holidays. We have had some requests to outline what we are looking for in the Design Challenge. We aren't looking for artist's renderings or figure drawing. It is actually quite easy so we thought we would provide a sample here:

Customer "J" writes:

I have a great design idea I wanted to submit for your contest! I have been wishing we had a unique outfit to wear to Thanksgiving dinner out of town every year for my now three year old. What I am thinking is a skirt and leggings or tights underneath(in case it is cold or she decides to play on the floor) and a top that has some rich trims on it, kind of like an moroccan theme or texture. It could be a fitted top or something a little more bohemian. I am not much of an artist so I included some photos of colors and possible inspiration for you. This was fun!

I hope this helps to inspire you! Submit all entries to contests@josiekatstrunk.com You can use the example shown here or come up with your own spin. Remember, the prizes are a $75 gift certificate and the runner up receives a dress of their choice! Get those ideas in an email because we want to hear from you!

We want you to be part of the creative process at Josiekat's Trunk this holiday season! To celebrate our seventh season of making holiday apparel for your children, we are having a great contest! The winner will see their design on the Josiekat's Trunk website this year! We want you to submit your idea for your dream outfit for your little one! Be creative or be wild! Follow the rules and submit your entry by the deadline. The winner will receive a $75 gift certificate for Josiekat's Trunk apparel! Wow! We will also choose one runner up who will receive a Simply Bows dress in the print and size of their choice. Here are the simple rules:

1. One entry per person/email address.
2. 250 word limit to your text or description.
3. Any images sent for purpose of color, theme or idea must be 600 pixels in height or under.
4. Entries become property of Josiekat's Trunk and may, at our discretion, be used for marketing on our website.
5. Deadline for all entries will be Monday, September 22nd at 10 pm EST.
6. Winner may use gift certificate on any Josiekat's Trunk brand apparel.
7. Entry may not infringe on copyrighted material.
8. Entry may include Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year's, Valentines Day or a non-holiday themed outfit.
9. Children are encouraged to help come up with ideas and designs but we can only award submissions from adults over 18.
10. No purchase necessary to enter.
11. All entries should be sent to contest@josiekatstrunk.com.
12. Only email entries will be eligible.

We are almost finished. We have narrowed it down a bit more and hope to have a decision in the next day. There are so many cute girls and talented photographers that it made it hard to choose. Josiekat's Trunk is looking for a few good models and moms who love to take photos! If you have a great knack for taking photos and a photogenic little girl, we are looking for you!
Submit 2 photos to models@josiekatstrunk.com no larger than 600 pixels. Deadline for entries is April 25th, 2008. We are looking for 1-2 baby girls and 3 or 4 toddler girls. We may open this to boys in the Fall. Model compensation will be in the form of clothing, discounts and gift certificates. Judging will be based on child's ability to photograph well and also parent's ability to take and edit great photos. We will announce the winners in early May or sooner. Frequency of photos will depend on season and ability to aid us in providing great and timely photos! Thank you for entering and good luck!

Please send us "portfolio worthy" photos since the judging is based on both the model and the photography skills. We are looking for quality photos that will showcase our clothing(similar to what you see on our website). You can take them indoors or outside, wherever you get the best photos.
