We have some new designs for Valentine's Day! We are able to offer a quick turn-around on this holiday so order now for photos and classroom parties.
We wanted to extend a heartfelt "thank you" to those who offered their sympathy with our recent miscarriage. We lost our twins at 12 weeks and as a result, we are a bit behind with the Spring holidays. We will be rolling out our Spring 2009 line over the next 4 to 5 weeks and have some beautiful new designs for Valentine's Day for you to purchase. More details on the Design Challenge...

We have had some requests to outline what we are looking for in the Design Challenge. We aren't looking for artist's renderings or figure drawing. It is actually quite easy so we thought we would provide a sample here:

Customer "J" writes:

I have a great design idea I wanted to submit for your contest! I have been wishing we had a unique outfit to wear to Thanksgiving dinner out of town every year for my now three year old. What I am thinking is a skirt and leggings or tights underneath(in case it is cold or she decides to play on the floor) and a top that has some rich trims on it, kind of like an moroccan theme or texture. It could be a fitted top or something a little more bohemian. I am not much of an artist so I included some photos of colors and possible inspiration for you. This was fun!

Josiekat's Trunk Design Challenge!

We want you to be part of the creative process at Josiekat's Trunk this holiday season! To celebrate our seventh season of making holiday apparel for your children, we are having a great contest! The winner will see their design on the Josiekat's Trunk website this year! We want you to submit your idea for your dream outfit for your little one! Be creative or be wild! Follow the rules and submit your entry by the deadline. The winner will receive a $75 gift certificate for Josiekat's Trunk apparel! Wow! We will also choose one runner up who will receive a Simply Bows dress in the print and size of their choice. Here are the simple rules:

1. One entry per person/email address.
2. 250 word limit to your text or description.
3. Any images sent for purpose of color, theme or idea must be 600 pixels in height or under.
4. Entries become property of Josiekat's Trunk and may, at our discretion, be used for marketing on our website.
5. Deadline for all entries will be Monday, September 22nd at 10 pm EST.
6. Winner may use gift certificate on any Josiekat's Trunk brand apparel.
7. Entry may not infringe on copyrighted material.
8. Entry may include Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year's, Valentines Day or a non-holiday themed outfit.
9. Children are encouraged to help come up with ideas and designs but we can only award submissions from adults over 18.
10. No purchase necessary to enter.
11. All entries should be sent to contest@josiekatstrunk.com.
12. Only email entries will be eligible.

Model search update

We are almost finished. We have narrowed it down a bit more and hope to have a decision in the next day. There are so many cute girls and talented photographers that it made it hard to choose. We will post here and notify the winners very soon! I cannot thank those who entered enough for their talent and time.
